Blair Bergen, MD, FACOG, FACS

Board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Bergen is chairman of the OB/GYN Department at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center.

He received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, New Jersey Medical School, where he also completed his internship and residency. Dr. Bergen is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as the American College of Surgeons.

He is the chair of the Public Education/Awareness Subcommittee of the New Jersey Advisory Council on Black Infant Mortality.

In 2006, Dr. Bergen received AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center’s prestigious Physician Performance Improvement Award.


Seva Milov, MD, FACOG

Seva Milov, MD, FACOG

Dr. Milov received his medical degree from the Astana State Medical Academy, Kazakhstan, and completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey, where he served as chief resident of obstetrics and gynecology.

While at Newark Beth Israel, he received their Resident of the Year award as well as the "Resident for Special Excellence in Endoscopic Procedures" award from the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.

Dr. Milov has a special interest in micro-invasive surgery, especially robotic surgery.

Certified in the use of the da Vinci® robot-assisted surgical system, Dr. Milov is a member of the American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopists and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is an official proctor for Intuitive Surgical.

In addition to English, Dr. Milov speaks Russian, Hebrew and Spanish.


Peter Van Deerlin, MD

Peter Van Deerlin, MD

Dr. Van Deerlin is an accomplished clinician and clinical investigator having published articles in major journals and presented his work at numerous scientific meetings. His publications in the area of reproductive endocrinology describe original scientific findings on such topics as ovarian follicular biology and recurrent pregnancy loss.

At the 1997 Annual Meeting of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) his work on endometrial pathology won the award for the most outstanding poster presentation. At the 1998 ASRM meeting he presented important advances in the practice of IVF which were made at South Jersey Fertility Center and are now being applied to the care and management of the Center’s patients.

More recently he presented our Center’s progress in IVF techniques to fellow gynecologists at the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists – District III annual meeting in 2004. Dr. Van Deerlin is well respected in his field having been selected as president of the Philadelphia Area Reproductive Endocrine Society in 2005. He has been invited to speak at many local events on such topics as prolactin disorders and IVF.

Clinically, Dr. Van Deerlin has earned the respect and trust of his patients through a career marked by commitment to individualized patient care. He also is conversant in Spanish, which in 2004 allowed him to lead a medical mission to Ecuador to teach laparoscopy to gynecologists in the Andes.  

Dr. Van Deerlin was selected as a “Top Doc” by SJ Magazine in 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 and “Top Physician” by South Jersey Magazine in 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2011.

Dr. Van Deerlin completed his robotics training in June 2011.


Salvatore Carfagno, DO

Salvatore Carfagno, DO

Dr. Carfagno received his Baccalaureate Degree from Hahneman University in June 1990. He earned his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in June 1995, receiving several honors and awards for academic excellence. He completed his Obstetrics and Gynecological residency with the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in June 2000. Dr. Carfagno is Board Certified by the American College of Osteopathic Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Carfagno is a member of several professional organizations including the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOOG), the New Jersey Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons, the New Jersey OB/GYN Society, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).

Dr. Carfagno has special interests in minimally invasive surgery, da Vinci® robot-assisted surgery, advanced laparoscopy, menopausal medicine and high-risk pregnancy.
